Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS)
Free Energy Assessments and Grants from £1000 to £100,000 for SMEs in the West Midlands
What does BEAS offer?
The Pilot Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) is offering 4000 free energy assessments to small businesses across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton, as well as Worcestershire and the Marches, Warwickshire and Stoke and Staffordshire.
The assessments will provide recommendations for energy reduction, helping to reduce costs. Then after a business has undertaken an energy assessment then there will be an opportunity to apply for a grant for commercial and industrial SMEs to facilitate investment in energy efficiency measures.
Who is delivering BEAS?
The programme has six Primary Delivery Partners (PDP). Warwickshire County Council, Worcester County Council and Staffordshire County Council will deliver a mix of standard and energy-intensive assessments and grants on behalf of the programme in their specific geographic areas.
Aston University will deliver standard and energy-intensive assessments within the WMCA area (Birmingham, Sandwell, Dudley, Coventry, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton). WMG and MTC will deliver energy-intensive assessments as part of the High-Value Manufacturing Catapult programme across the West Midlands region.
