This form is not a direct grant application. It is for the initial energy assessment. If your business is deemed eligible, following the assessment, your business will then have the opportunity to apply for grant funding.

Note: The funding element of the BEAS pilot is available until December 2025, and applications are advised promptly to ensure consideration.

Free energy assessments will continue to be offered into 2026.

Register for a free BEAS business energy assessment

  • This form usually takes around 10 minutes to complete.
  • Fields marked with * are mandatory.
  • The service is only open to businesses registered with Companies House Company House Numbers (for Limited Companies) or a Company Registration Number (for CICs), along with an SIC code.
  • Please note: Have your energy bill information ready. Businesses must have a minimum energy usage of 25,000 kWh per year. If your energy usage is under 25,000 kWh, your application with be rejected. Find out your usage here.

If your business site has already undergone an assessment, there’s no need to register again. 

If you have previously applied and/or were not deemed suitable for BEAS, businesses must wait 12 months before reapplying.
