About this event

This event is aimed at businesses keen to understand how they can reduce energy costs, cut carbon and improve efficiency.

Hosted by leading local manufacturer, The Brockmoor Foundry Ltd, one of the few UK iron foundries to cast, machine and paint products all on one site, this event will share knowledge, best practice and advice to help your business save energy, reduce production costs and lower carbon emissions.

Having recently implemented a successful energy reduction project, Steve Smith - Energy Manager at Brockmoor Foundry, will lead the session and also provide a tour of their manufacturing facility.

Through his presentation Steve will outline:

• The business imperative and the benefits of energy efficiency for businesses with high energy needs

• How to prioritise projects that deliver improved energy use

• How to plan investment, create a business case and secure project funding

Steve will explain how the business uses data capture to monitor and maximise energy savings, key changes in working practises they have implemented as part of the energy reduction project and how the business successfully secured £90k of grant funding to invest in new energy efficient equipment.

Local Business Growth Adviser, Paul Sampson, from Business Growth West Midlands in Dudley, will also be on hand to discuss the support and funding available via the Business Energy Assessment Service (BEAS).

This event will be full of hints and tips on energy reduction with lots of opportunities for your questions.

Spaces for this event are limited so if you would like to find out more or register your interest for this group please contact Stuart Deverall on SDeverall@oxin.co.uk

PPE equipment for the factory tour can be provided but where possible it would help if participants were able to bring their own.
