Every November, the Money and Pensions Service lead Talk Money Week to encourage people to open up about their finances, and so we're delighted to be joined by Dawn Cummins, West Midlands Regional Manager from the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), during this year's Talk Money Week for a practical session exploring:

  • why it's important to Talk Money at Work
  • how employers can support their teams with their financial health
  • the information and resources available from MaPS to support both employers and employees to start conversations and find professional advice to improve financial wellbeing

With the current cost-of-living pressures, it’s more important than ever that we all get support for money worries. Building money conversations into our everyday lives also helps us build financial confidence and resilience to face whatever the future throws at us.

The Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is an arm’s-length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions and Dawn will talk to you about MoneyHelper which is the public facing arm of the organisation providing free help and guidance which you can trust.

This session will include a 30 minute presentation and a 15 minute Q&A.

If you have any questions that you would like answering during the event please email them to: ThriveAtWork@wmca.org.uk
