BGWM in Dudley salutes women in business with International Women's Day event

Published: 18 March 2024

Last week, Business Growth West Midlands (BGWM) in Dudley proudly hosted a celebration in honour of International Women's Day! This significant event brought together women entrepreneurs and business professionals from the Dudley area for a post-work gathering, creating a fantastic platform for sharing their business experiences.

Participants networked, made connections, and forged new relationships with other women-led local businesses. The event also provided insightful information about the valuable, FREE business growth support and funding opportunities available to local SMEs through the BGWM in Dudley programme.

The evening was a great success and much positive feedback was received on what guests enjoyed most about the event:

“It was all women, as a female engineer that made a really nice change!”

“Meeting like-minded women in business who you can network with.”

“Meeting new people, learning about their business and learning about the support available to new and upcoming businesses in the local area.”

Catherine Bray, Programme Delivery Manager for the BGWM in Dudley initiative, attended the event and shared her thoughts: “It was incredibly rewarding to learn about how many local businesses are benefiting from the free support offered by our programme. The evening ended with many requests for more regular networking events for women in business - so watch this space!”
