Breaking the cycle of crime
If people with convictions are to break the cycle of crime, they’re more likely to do so if they are in work.
However, this group of people are often overlooked by employers who are sometimes worried about employing people with a history of convictions. That is why the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner is working with companies and organisations across the West Midlands to encourage them to support and employ people with a criminal record.
It is their mission to break down the barriers that those with convictions face when trying to get a job.
About the charter
The Second Chances Charter it’s a commitment that your organisation will make to consider applications from people with a criminal record and help them get back on their feet.
